            Parent Ion Mass    

$15.00 sliding scale depending on mass and sample needs.  If a sample requires clean-up or processing the price will increase by $10.00 per sample per necessary clean-up step.  As well, if a samples large mass makes it a difficult target the cost of analysis will be increased accordingly.  Prior to analysis, and any cost hikes, the investigator will be consulted.

This fee applies wether you choose to run 1 sample or fill the instrument with 96.

Sievers NO-Analyzer

            Per Session Fee……………………………………….$40.00

This charge is not specific to sample size.  A session is generally considered the start-up of the instrument, calibration, sample injection(s), and shut-down.  Due to contamination issues the MCEF will provide most consumables for the operation of the instrument.

VersaDoc 3000 with Personal Imager FX

            *Yearly Contract…………………………………….$300 per year.

                        There are no restrictions on the number of samples run under the contract.

Agilent UV-VIS Spectrophotometer

            *Yearly Contract…………………………………….$150 per year.

                        There are no restrictions on the number of samples run under the contract.

-70ºC Long-Term Sample Storage

            *Yearly Contract……………………………………$200 per ½ shelf per year.

2D Gel Electrophoresis Equipment

PF 2D

The cost to perform proteome separations will vary depending on the sample and the number to be run.  As a base price though, 1 proteome will cost no less than $1,000.

Peptide Synthesis

            The pricing varies for University of Wyoming clients.  The quantity of peptide required and the purity of the peptide will all change the price.  The MCEF has just begun offering this as a service and we are working on a more concrete means by which to price the synthesis.  However, we will in almost all cases, be cheaper than having your peptides synthesized at another facility.  Please contact the MCEF for further details.

* Yearly contracts are meant to offset the costs of bulbs, back-up systems, gas cylinders and maintenance.  Unless otherwise stated, no disposables will be provided for these instruments.
